So what is Lyme Disease? Lyme’s Disease is an infection caused by a bacteria called Borrelia Burgdorferi. It is transmitted by a tick bite. It causes a wide variety of symptoms and is typically split into two stages.
Stages: Early and Late (also known as the Chronic stage). In the early stage symptoms tends to be milder: possible rash, flu-like symptoms, headaches, fatigue. With the late/chronic stage it dives more into the nervous system- joint pain, brain fogs, arthritis, heart problems.
Symptoms I have experienced: fatigue, muscle weakness, joint pain/arthritis, fibromyalgia, dizziness, fevers, shortness of breath, tingling/numbness in hands and feet, migraines, constipation, nausea, neck stiffness, feeling out of body, brain fogginess, back pain, eyesight changes, problems with short-term memory, heart problems, and seizures. These are just some of the symptoms I have had, but there are many more. It mainly attacks the nervous system and can also cause damage to organs.
